This version comes with a built-in thermostat that opens at 85°C, controlling oil flow to the cooler. This design allows the oil to reach optimal operating temperature more quickly after engine start, and only then activates cooling when it’s truly necessary. This function is especially important in daily driving, as it prevents overcooling during cold starts and normal use.

Using an oil cooler helps lower oil temperature, which significantly slows oil degradation, prolongs its lifespan, and maintains its lubricating properties – even during aggressive track use. Lower temperatures also reduce the risk of engine and component overheating and increase the total oil volume in the lubrication system, improving stability under demanding conditions.

The adapter features four threaded ports:

• Two ports for connecting external oil cooler lines,

• Two additional ports fitted with 1/8" NPT adapters for installing oil pressure and temperature sensors.

The set also includes a Viton gasket, a material well known for its excellent resistance to high temperatures, oils, and chemicals. This effectively eliminates common leakage issues found in cheaper adapters using standard rubber seals.
