Tilton 78-Series Master Cylinders for DriftSpec Pro Hydraulic Handbrakes - the preferred choice of professional drifters.
Proven motorsport performance, optimized for hydraulic handbrake use. The Tilton 78-Series Master Cylinders represent the latest in racing master cylinder technology, combining a lightweight and compact design with proven reliability in demanding motorsport applications.
Proven motorsports master cylinder from Tilton
Eliminates binding and side loads for more precise operation
The preferred choice of professional drifters
Compact design for easy integration with DriftSpec Pro
AN3 outlet and AN6 inlet ports
Well-suited for use with the DriftSpec Pro hydraulic handbrakes, the rear spherical bearing mount, together with the one-piece piston and pushrod design, eliminates side thrust into the cylinder bore. This ensures smooth, consistent, and repeatable brake response — critical for precise control in drifting and performance driving.

Spherical Bearing-Mounted Master Cylinder for DriftSpec Pro Handbrakes – Tilton 78-Series.
The Tilton 78-Series Master Cylinders are fully compatible with the DriftSpec Pro hydraulic handbrakes and designed around a spherical bearing-mounted layout. This allows the cylinder to self-align throughout the entire stroke, eliminating side loads and binding compared to conventional fixed designs.
Eliminates side loads - no binding, reduces internal wear
Consistent response - run after run, without fade
This results in reduced internal wear while delivering a smoother, more direct, and predictable brake response—exactly what is required in high-performance drifting and motorsport applications. The compact design also enables a clean, space-efficient installation within the DriftSpec Pro setup.
Choosing the right bore size for your setup - available in 0.625 / 0.700 / 0.750 versions.
Selecting the correct bore size is key to achieving the brake feel you want from your DriftSpec Pro handbrake. The right choice depends on your setup, driving style, and personal preference — allowing you to fine-tune both response and modulation.
A smaller bore, such as 0.625" (5/8"), generates higher hydraulic pressure with less input force, resulting in a lighter pull and a more aggressive, responsive feel. This is the most popular choice for drifting.
A larger bore, such as 0.750" (3/4"), moves more fluid per stroke, requiring more input force but delivering a shorter, firmer lever travel with increased modulation. Best suited for longer lever setups, as shorter levers may feel too stiff.
The 0.700" (7/10") option sits in between, offering a balanced combination of pressure and control, providing shorter travel than the smaller bore without the increased effort of the larger option.

Proven motorsport design with seamless DriftSpec Pro integration.
Manufactured from billet aluminum and finished with proprietary low-friction coatings, the Tilton 78-Series delivers reduced internal wear and long-term durability. Each unit is hand-built and blueprinted for precise cut-off port timing, ensuring consistent performance under all conditions.
With its compact design and optimized geometry, it integrates seamlessly with the DriftSpec Pro handbrake setup. Delivered with required rear spacers, 3/8 to 5/16 ball joint, and 3/8" lock nut for straightforward installation (fitment kit available separately).
